Camilleri Simenon Bibliography


Georges Simenon (1903-1989) was a Belgian author of crime fiction, best known for his novels featuring his character Jules Maigret. Simenon is the author of close to 200 novels in his native language of French, most of which have been translated into English. Likewise, his novels have been adapted into nearly 200 different film adaptations. Georges got his start writing for the newspaper Gazette de Liege at only 16 years old. During his lifetime, he spent time living in Belgium, France, Canada, the United States and finally in Switzerland – where he died in 1989 of natural causes.
